ART AND REVELATION
In order to know the influence it has exercised the Apocalypse in the history of Western art and, specifically, in the Peruvian art, the Directorate of Tourism of San Marcos Cultural Center has organized a course on "The Apocalypse in Art", in which to explain the iconographic elements from this latest book of the Bible and its presence in pictorial compositions and plastic.
The course will be headed by Virgilio Freddy Cabanillas and will address the following topics: The Significance of Revelation in Christian art, The Apocalypse in the colonial art I, The Revelation II Colonial art and the Apocalypse in art contemporary stained glass by Adolfo Winternitz in Lima.
Dates in which this course has been scheduled on Saturdays 12, 19, February 26 and March 5, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
