Bonesnapper Reissue Editors: Catherine

ESTIGMAS: 27 poems for a great tribute

We are pleased to announce that news is already in our new publication, it is ESTIGMAS sixth book of the Peruvian poet Filonilo Catalina. Stigma is a rich poetic work commemorating 100 years since the birth of Carlos Oquendo de Amat (Puno, 1905), who as we know, in life he published a unique and extraordinary book: 5 meters of poems (1927), which consider him one of the great pillars of Peruvian and Latin American art. It should also be noted that Catherine is a great Southern cultural promoter who, however, despite its temporary withdrawal of the literary world since its first publication in 2000, the poet has spent much of the country walk taking his work from end to end.
FILONILO CATALINA (Coaza-Puno, 1974). studied Literature and Linguistics at the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin de Arequipa, and has published books of poetry: Memoirs of a cutthroat (Arequipa, Triangle Publishers, 2000), Song of the cockroach (Arequipa, Triangle Publishers, 2003), Janai, or dance in the rain (Arequipa, Scream editions, 2004), Poetry (Arequipa, Bonesnapper Editions, 2006) and The Monster the hills (Lima, editions Cope, 2007), which also won the third place of the XIII Bienal de Poesia "COPÉ Award 2005" organized by PETROPERÚ. He has also won first place in the First and Second Story Literary Contest, Poetry and Short Test organized by the weekly The Owl in 2007 (story) and 2008 (in poetry).
